Apple Vision Pro Headset Launch is Early in February: Apple is poised to unveil its highly anticipated product, the Vision Pro headset, originally showcased at WWDC 2023. Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF International Securities, predicts a late January to early February release in select markets, with mass production commencing in January and an estimated 50,000 units shipped in 2024. Manufacturing is slated to take place at Apple’s facility in China.
Priced at $3,500 or around Rs 3,00,000, the Vision Pro is set to be one of the most expensive consumer-focused VR headsets. Fueled by the potent M2 chip, also found in select MacBooks and the iPad Pro lineup, it boasts impressive capabilities. Despite its premium cost, the Vision Pro is expected to redefine consumer electronics trends, offering unparalleled features. Unlike Meta’s standalone VR headsets, the Vision Pro goes a step further with groundbreaking features.
Initially, the Vision Pro will be exclusively available in the US, with specially designed experience zones at major Apple Stores in cities like New York and Los Angeles, according to a Bloomberg report. Unfortunately, the device will not be available in India at launch.
Although the Vision Pro is poised to be a niche product due to its high price, Apple is reportedly already working on a next-generation version. Anticipated to be more affordable and capable, this successor is projected to debut in 2025, as reported by DigiTimes Asia.
