“Harmony: An Anthology of Prose and Poetry”
The new alternative English textbook for Class 12 students will be titled “Harmony: An Anthology of Prose and Poetry.” This textbook will replace the old textbooks used in the previous syllabus. The new textbook is expected to be more engaging and informative, covering various aspects of prose and poetry.
While the textbooks are being revised, some content of the old syllabus will remain the same in the revised syllabus. However, the authorities have informed us that the ‘VIBGYOR’ will be abandoned with immediate effect. Until the textbooks are made available, the following syllabus will be followed:
- Ozymandias of Egypt by Percy Bysshe Shelley
- The Verger by William Somerset Maugham
- Grammar: Common errors, question tags, composition
Private students will have access to the textbooks on the open market in addition to the free textbook program, which is printed and distributed by the Assam State Textbook Production and Publication Corporation Limited.
