GAT-B 2023 Application Correction Window Opens: Exam on April 23

GAT-B 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) opened the online application window for the Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B) and Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET 2023) on April 8, 2023. The GAT-B and GAT-BET exam will be conducted on April 23, 2023, in computer-based test (CBT) mode, and the medium of the question paper will be English.

GAT-B Exam 2023 Details

The GAT-B and GAT-BET exam will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours each in separate shifts. The first shift will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM for GAT-B candidates, while the second shift will be for applicants who registered for GAT-BET. The second shift will begin at 3 PM and conclude at 6 PM.

The correction window will be open until 11:50 PM on April 9, 2023. Candidates who wish to make corrections to their application form can do so by visiting the official website, dbt.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in. The application form’s last date for GAT-B and BET is April 5 up to 5 PM, the application fees last date is April 5 up to 11.50 PM, and the correction facility will be available from April 8 to 9 up to 11:50 PM.

Graduate Aptitude Test-B Exam Eligibility 2023

Candidates who wish to apply for MTech programs are required to have a BTech or BE degree with a minimum of 60% (general, EWS, and OBC category) or 55% (SC, ST, and PwD) aggregate. Only those candidates eligible for admission to MSc programs, who have completed their graduation in the respective field with a minimum of 60% (general, EWS, and OBC category) or 55% (SC, ST, and PwD) aggregate from a recognized university. Candidates who wish to apply for the GAT-B 2023 eligibility criteria of the M.VSc Animal Biotechnology program must have a B.V.Sc. and A.H. degree or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% marks. Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST) are required to have 50% marks.

GAT-B and GAT-BET Exam 2023 Purpose

The GAT-B and GAT-BET exams are held for admission to the Department of Biotechnology supported postgraduate (PG) program in Biotechnology and allied areas in participating Institutions (GAT-B) and for the award of DBT – Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) for pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology (BET).
