India Post GDS Recruitment 2023: The Indian Post has announced the reopening of online registrations for the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) for the positions of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak. These vacancies are available in the North East divisions of Meghalaya, Sikkim, Tripura, and Manipur. Eligible candidates can apply for these positions on the official website indiapostgdsonline.gov.in starting from June 16. The last date to submit applications is June 23.

Revised Edit Window:
Due to administrative difficulties, the edit window for all applications has been postponed to June 24. Candidates who have already submitted their applications by June 11, as well as those who will be applying from June 16 to 23, will have the opportunity to edit or correct their applications from June 24 to June 26.
India Post GDS Vacancy Details:
The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 4384 vacancies for the positions of Branch Postmaster and Assistant Branch Postmaster in Branch Post Offices (BOs) located in the North East circles of Meghalaya, Sikkim, Tripura, and Manipur.
India Post Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit:
Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years of age as of June 11, 2023. The upper age limit is relaxed for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
Educational Qualification:
Applicants must have passed the Secondary School Examination (10th standard) with Mathematics and English as compulsory or elective subjects from a recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/Union Territories. Additionally, knowledge of computer operations, cycling, and having adequate means of livelihood is required.
Application Fee:
Applicants need to pay a fee of Rs 100 for all posts in the desired division. However, female candidates, SC/ST candidates, PwD candidates, and Transwomen candidates are exempted from paying the fee.

The application process for all circles concluded on June 11. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website within the specified dates.
Selection Process:
The Department will release the list of shortlisted candidates for engagement on its official website and GDS Online Portal. Applicants are advised to regularly visit the official website for the latest updates.
