The provisional answer key will soon be released, followed by the final answer key, on the basis of which JEE Main 2023 result will be prepared. In this article, we will discuss the expected cut-off for all categories in JEE Main 2023.
Expected Cut-Off for Different Categories:
According to Ramesh Batlish, FIITJEE expert, the JEE Main qualifying cut-off (as per NTA percentile score) for JEE Advanced 2023 for the General category students will be between 88 to 80. However, some experts (Nitin Arora, Assistant Director Academics ENGG., Aakash BYJU’S Live) have also analyzed the cut-off to reach 90- 92 in the general category.
For the EWS category, it is expected to reach 63-68, and 66-70 for OBC-NCL category students. The expected cut-off for Scheduled Caste (CS) category students is 42-48. While Batlish analyzed the cut-off for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates to reach 25-27, Arora believes that it can reach as high as 30-33.
Comparison with JEE Main Session 1:
In JEE Main session 1, the expected cut-off for the general category was 88-89, 63-65 for the EWS category, 66-67 for OBC, 42-45 for SC, and 25-27 for the ST category students. This shows that the expected cut-off has not changed significantly for most categories in session 2.
