NEET UG 2023 is one of the most important medical entrance exams in India. It is conducted for admission to various undergraduate medical courses, including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS. The exam will be held on May 7, 2023, and will comprise 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. The syllabus for the exam is based on Class 11 and 12 syllabi, and candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly for each subject. Although the chapter-wise weightage is not notified by the National Testing Agency, it is recommended that candidates have a good understanding of the important topics in each subject to excel in the exam.

NEET UG 2023 Exam Date

The NEET UG 2023 exam will be held on May 7, 2023. The exam will be conducted for admission to undergraduate medical programs, including BSc nursing and veterinary.

NEET UG 2023 Exam Pattern

The NEET UG 2023 question paper will comprise 200 questions and will be held for 200 minutes duration.

NEET UG 2023 Syllabus

The NEET UG 2023 question paper will be framed according to the Class 11 and Class 12 syllabi. The chapter-wise weightage for NEET UG 2023 is not notified by the National Testing Agency. However, NMC recommends the following syllabus for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS programmes after reviewing the state boards, CBSE, and NCERT syllabi.

NEET UG 2023 Chapter-wise Weightage

The chapter-wise weightage for NEET UG 2023 is not been officially notified. However, the syllabus includes various topics in physics, chemistry, and biology. Here is a brief overview of the topics covered in each subject:

Physics Syllabus of Class 11 and Class 12

The physics syllabus includes topics such as physical-world and measurement, kinematics, laws of motion, work, energy and power, the motion of the system of particles and rigid body, gravitation, properties of bulk matter, thermodynamics, the behavior of perfect gas and kinetic theory, oscillations and waves, electrostatics, current electricity, magnetic effects of current and magnetism, electromagnetic induction and alternating currents, electromagnetic waves, optics, dual nature of matter and radiation, atoms and nuclei, electronic devices.

Chemistry Syllabus of Class 11 and Class 12

The chemistry syllabus includes topics such as some basic concepts of chemistry, the structure of atoms, classification of elements and periodicity in properties, chemical bonding and molecular structure, states of matter: gases and liquids, thermodynamics, equilibrium, redox reactions, hydrogen, s-Block Element (Alkali and Alkaline earth metals), some p-Block Elements, organic chemistry- some basic principles and techniques, hydrocarbons, environmental chemistry, solid state, solutions, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, surface chemistry, general principles and processes of isolation of elements, p-Block Elements, d and f Block Elements, coordination compounds, haloalkanes and haloarenes, alcohols, phenols and ethers, aldehydes, ketones, and carboxylic acids, organic compounds containing nitrogen, biomolecules, polymers, chemistry in everyday life.

Biology Syllabus of Class 11 and Class 12

The biology syllabus includes topics such as diversity in the living world, a structural organization in animals and plants, reproduction, genetics, and evolution.
