NIFT Admission 2023 Guidelines for Seat Allocation Process: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has released the latest updates regarding seat allocation for candidates who successfully passed the NIFT entrance exam 2023. To ensure a smooth process, NIFT has provided guidelines and do’s and don’ts for candidates to follow. Shortlisted candidates are encouraged to keep mandatory documents, such as an anti-ragging and fee refund undertaking (Annexure-II and IV), and a medical certificate, scanned and ready for upload on the official website, nift.ac.in. To avoid any inconvenience, candidates should review the list of required documents carefully.

NIFT Mandatory Documents

Shortlisted candidates must have the following documents scanned and ready before uploading them on the official website:

• Undertaking regarding anti-ragging (Annexure-II)
• Undertaking regarding the refund of the fee (Annexure-IV)
• Medical certificate (format enclosed)

Do’s

• Choose a maximum number of preferences while filling in campus/course preferences at the time of registration for seat allocation.
• Carefully analyze available options based on your CMR while choosing the course and campus preferences.
• Be aware that only the Campus/Courses for which you have filled preference will be taken into consideration. Even if there are vacant seats on other Campuses, an applicant who has not selected that Campus/Course in the preference list will not be considered for admission there.
• Check and fill in preferences for academic programs in your Domicile campus if eligible.
• Fill in your preference at NIFT Srinagar if eligible for the Kashmiri migrant quota.
• Check regularly for announcements of NIFT seat allocation rounds.

Don’t’s

• Do not fill in the preferences of the campus/course you are not willing to join.- Do not lock your preferences until you are sure of your choices and the order of preferences. However, do not miss locking your choice before the last date. They will be auto-locked at the deadline.
• Do not wait for the last day/time for filling up preferences. There will be no extension.
• Do not withdraw from the admission process until absolutely sure. This option cannot be changed.
• Do not select the “freeze” option if you are waiting for allotment of a campus/course of higher precedence in any subsequent round.
• Do not upload wrong/incorrect/outdated documents. Non-verification of documents for any reason may deny you your chance for admission.
• Pay the fee to confirm seats before the deadline.

Steps to Apply nift.ac.in Admission 2023 Online

1. Register for NIFT Admission 2023 by visiting the official website of NIFT (www.nift.ac.in).
2. Pay the application fee and complete the application process by the given deadline.
3. Wait for the release of the merit list which will be based on your performance in the NIFT entrance exam and your academic records.
4. Check the merit list and see if you have been shortlisted for the seat allocation process.
5. If you have been shortlisted, log in to the NIFT admission portal and select your preferred choice of campus and program.
6. NIFT will allocate seats based on your rank in the merit list and the availability of seats in your preferred campus and program.
7. If you are allocated a seat, you will receive a provisional admission letter which you must download and take a printout of.
8. Pay the admission fee and confirm your acceptance of the seat by the given deadline mentioned in the provisional admission letter.
9. Report to the allotted NIFT campus with the necessary documents for verification and complete the admission process.
