About RRB Jammu Srinagar
Railway Recruitment Board, Jammu-Srinagar is one of the nineteen RRBs on the Indian Railways. It caters primarily to the recruitment of candidates on an all-india basis to group ‘C’ advertised posts for Firozepur Division of Northern Railway and Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala. Besides this, it also conducts joint examination for recruitment with RRB, Chandigarh for common categories of advertised group ‘C’ posts.
The Railway Recruitment Board, Jammu-Srinagar has a Chairman, an Assistant Secretary, and non-gazetted staff. The RRBs function under the direct control of the Railway Recruitment Control Board (RRCB), Ministry of Railways, New Delhi in matters relating to policy and procedures for recruitment, monitoring and for review of performance; on advice regarding priorities as required and regarding system improvement from time to time.
The GM’s of the concerned Railway provide administrative support and assistance in the conduct of examination for recruitment by providing gazetted and non-gazetted railway officials for conducting examination etc. as required by the RRBs and by providing infrastructural and logistic support in the matter of posting of non-gazetted staff, established matters, maintenance of RRB building, vigilance checks, office equipment etc.

RRB Jammu Srinagar ALP Technician Selection Process
RRB calls for eligible applicants through “Employment News” (A publication of the Government of India). The employment notification is also published on the Internet website. The applications are scrutinized for eligibility. The eligible candidates are called for a written examination with call letters being sent a month in advance of the date of the examination.
In most of the categories of jobs, there is no interview after the written examination. In some categories, there will be a second stage written the examination. In categories related to operational safety, there will be a psychological test.
The application-details furnished by successful candidates are verified and they are called for counseling and scrutiny of original documents. A panel of names is then recommended to Southern Railway / Integral Coach Factory to the extent of vacancies. The candidates will be required to pass a medical examination before appointment.
