The Class 10 Board Exams of TN were postponed due to increase in COVID-19 cases in the state. However, the state government has now decided to hold exams in mid-June 2020, with all the necessary precautions and guidelines in place for the examination. A total of 9.5 lakh students are expected to appear for the Class 10 / SSLC Exam 2020 this month. On 4th June 2020, TNDGE also released the SSCL Admit Card 2020 for the upcoming exams.

It has also said that the SSLC exam cannot be allowed to be held on June 15 and hence the decision on the 10th exams should be taken immediately. The High Court has been ordered to report the Government of Tamil Nadu within 2.30 pm that whether to hold a SSLC Public Exams in the 2nd week of July
