Service Desk Associate Role Job Profile:
The primary role of a service desk associate is to answer customer requests for assistance by email, chat, web, or over the phone. This role is crucial to ensuring customer requirements are met in terms of communication, prioritizing, escalating, and resolving incidents and requests.
Service Desk Associate Responsibilities:
- Being the first point of contact for all end-user-reported issues or requests.
- Providing technical support for internal and external customers.
- Providing the first line of telephone technical support for hardware, operating systems, sub-systems, and/or applications for customers and/or employees.
- Applying basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions to correct common failures.
- Taking end-to-end ownership of end-user issues till resolution and following up as mandated by the process requirements.
- Escalating complex problems to the Remote Support Engineering staff or Field Engineering.
- Maintaining call quality and response times as per the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintaining records of calls and ensuring all cases are updated in the system.
- Supporting multiple clients through customer service professionalism and insight.

To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication abilities.
- Sound understanding of operating systems, hardware, networking, and Microsoft applications.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Capable of multitasking and coordinating tasks efficiently.
- Excellent judgment skills to assess situations and provide effective solutions promptly.
- Willingness and ability to work in shifts, including 24×7 schedules.

A minimum qualification of any engineering or non-engineering graduates (2021 and 2022 Batch) is required. Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a relevant certificate course and/or relevant experience in information technology service delivery, along with relevant IT qualifications to a tertiary level, is preferred.
