The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) conducted the second day of the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE 2023) for BTech admission on April 18. The exam was conducted for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes, and the question paper had five sections – mathematics, physics, chemistry, English, and aptitude.
NEW DELHI: The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) conducted the second day of the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE 2023) for BTech admission today. Students who appeared today found the VITEEE 2023 exam to be easy-moderate in difficulty level.
According to the students’ reactions, the mathematics section was tough in difficulty level, with questions from vector 3D and definite integration having the highest weightage. On the other hand, the physics section was rated easy to moderate. Chemistry and English sections were easy, while the aptitude section was also easy but required analytical thinking.
The difficulty level of each section of the VITEEE question paper 2023 is given below. Mathematics had 40 questions, the highest number, followed by physics and chemistry with 35 questions each. English section had 5 questions, and aptitude had 10 questions. Each question contained one mark, and there was no negative marking for incorrect answers.
Admissions for BTech programs at VIT will be based on the VITEEE merit rank, and candidates with a rank up to 1 Lakh are eligible for counseling at Vellore and Chennai campuses.
